Ceremony + Reception

Vows

We will exchange our vows on the shore of Playa Grande (a 30 second walk from the hotel) with only our immediate family and wedding party.  This is in an effort to avoid the hyperventilation, puking, and black-ing out that goes hand in hand with the bride's stage fright.  The only alternative was to have the groom read his own vows out loud to himself, and we did not want to diminish the meaning of our vows.

Ceremony

Following the exchange of vows, we will rejoin everyone for a traditional Persian ceremony, during which we will be asked if we both want to marry.  If we "decide" that we still want to go through with the marriage (after the snot filled exchange of vows), we will say our I Do’s and exchange rings during this portion of the ceremony.

Celebration

We will have a sit down dinner following the ceremony at UpStairs @ the RipJack.  Located on the second floor nestled in the trees, UpStairs @ the RipJack boasts a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean (we obviously copied that right off of the website).  We ate almost every breakfast, lunch, and dinner here during our trip.  The cuisine was wonderful, and the atmosphere couldn’t have been more perfect! 

After dinner (or possibly during dinner - you know who you are), we will rock out to the mix-tape we will have compiled ourselves (playlist suggestions are welcome).  The funky chicken and/or stanky leg may even make an appearance.
